June 9, 2020: A Grand Jury Returned Two § 1001 Counts

Documented: on June 9, 2020, a federal grand jury in the District of Massachusetts returned an indictment charging Charles Lieber with two counts of false statements, 18 U.S.C. § 1001(a)(2). Count One concerns statements on or about April 24, 2018, to Department of Defense / DCIS investigators. Count Two concerns statements on or about January 10, 2019, that Lieber allegedly caused Harvard to make to the National Institutes of Health. The PDF is hosted by the Department of Justice.
